Our Story

We set companies up — then we help them last.

Stevva didn't begin as a grand plan. It began as two small practices serving the same people at different moments — one that set companies up in the UAE, and one that kept their books, audits and taxes in order. Merging them was the obvious move. Here's how it happened, and what we've tried to build since.

The short version

Two practices, one firm, and the clients who stayed.

FROM 2020 TILL 2026

Two separate doors

Protax kept the books, audits and taxes. Registrations opened companies and handled licences.

2026

Merged into Stevva

One firm, one relationship — from the first licence to the tenth annual audit.

2026

Four specialist arms

Stevva Tax, Auditors, Legal and Corp — whatever a client needs, held to one standard.

Today

~2500 businesses

Looked after across the UAE, mainland and free zones — many with us since day one.

Where it started

Two doors, the same visitors.

Tushar Agarwal started out running two separate businesses. One — Protax Advisors LLC — did the essential, unglamorous work that keeps a company legitimate: accounting, audit, VAT and corporate tax. The other — Registrations Business Setup Services — did the opposite end: licences, mainland and free-zone setup, the paperwork that turns an idea into a company that legally exists.

On paper, two different businesses. In practice, they kept handing each other the same clients. People who came to get set up soon needed help staying compliant. People who came for tax help often had companies structured in ways that made their lives harder than they needed to be. The two problems were never really separate — we were just solving them at two different desks.

Why we merged

So we stopped handing people off.

In 2026, we brought the two practices together into one firm, with a simple idea behind it: a client should be able to arrive with "I want to start a business here" and end up — over months and years — with a company that's set up properly, books that are clean, licences that stay valid and taxes filed on time. One relationship, from the first licence to the tenth annual audit.

We wanted a name that belonged to the firm rather than to a founder's surname or a row of initials — something we could make entirely our own. Around it we built four specialist arms — so that whatever a client needs, it comes from the same firm, held to the same standard.

"Not the number — the fact that people stay."

Where we are now

A firm that grew up with its clients.

Today we look after around 2500 businesses across the UAE, mainland and free zones — from first-time founders filing their very first VAT return to established groups managing multi-entity audits. Some we set up ourselves and have watched grow since. That's the part we're proudest of: not the number, but the fact that people stay.

We're not the largest firm in Dubai, and we're not trying to be. We'd rather be the one that picks up the phone, explains things in plain language, and gives you the honest answer — even when it isn't the one you were hoping to hear.

What we believe

We hold ourselves to what we sell.

It would be odd to help companies run clean, well-documented, compliant businesses and then run ours any other way. So we try to practise what we advise.

Legitimacy over shortcuts

The UAE rewards businesses that are set up and run properly. We won't build you something that looks fine today and becomes a problem at your next renewal or audit.

Plain answers

Tax and compliance are complicated enough. Our job is to make them make sense to you, not to sound clever.

We stay

Setup is the first day of a long relationship, not the last day of a transaction. Most of our work is with clients we've had for years.

If you're building something here, we'll help you build it properly.

Whether it's your first company or your tenth clean-up, the conversation starts the same way — with someone who'll actually listen.
